Artist in action

Art Statement

Although art has numerous meanings, it is a product of expression. It creates emotion and demonstrates culture. As an artist, I prefer to express “beauty” in art, my paintings. Nevertheless it can also deliver different messages to viewers.
Nature is a form of art. It is the best model to emulate. Anything of natural beauty arouses me. Many of my paintings were inspired through my enthusiastic observation of nature.
I believe, beauty needs to be shared, admired, and sometimes, deserves to be acquired. It takes an art to create an art. I thank God for giving me some of the ability. Art rejuvenates my mind, and never fails to make me feel good.
Art plays an important role in my life. What would life be without art?

Few words

Do not judge a book by its cover. A picture speaks a thousand words.

About me

Born in Singapore in May 1962. Fourth of six in the family. Migrated to Johore in year 1978. Now live in Pahang with husband, 3 sons and a daughter and son-in-law.

Fascinated and participated in artworks since kindergarten and primary school. I have been seriously involved in painting since 2004 (after resignation from previous job).

Although I do not receive any formal training in art I do learn by reading, practising, observing the works of other artists and by getting advice from some of them. It has been my aspiration to be successful and recognised in my works. One way of measuring that is by looking at the number of feedbacks from viewers, other artists and art collectors.

 Favourite quotations :
"When I'm immersed in my work I find myself being a part of the painting. That feeling itself is pleasurable, satisfying and rejuvenating." - Maba.

If you truly love Nature, you will find beauty everywhere. ~Vincent Van Gogh ~

 Kenangan lalu :

Bak kata Pak Din, “There are a lot to learn, and unlearn.”
Terima kasih.
Sekali lagi, terima kasih MAH, terima kasih Sifu Azman, dan terima kasih kawan-kawan yang hadir sama. Jasamu dikenang.
